OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The goal of occupational therapy is to improve the children with autism overall success in all aspects of life. This is accomplished through the children teaching and modification of their daily life skills which leads to increased independence. An occupational therapist can utilize many strategies to teach children with autism to perform daily life tasks more efficiently:
- bathing,
- dressing,
- completing schoolwork,
- taking a class,
- cooking a meal,
- playing a sport,
- getting together with friends.
